Touch Screen Bonding

Touch screen bonding is how the touch sensor, cover glass and display are joined together, and the website offers two options: full lamination and frame lamination. This page is the selection guide for those two options. The optical bonding category page describes the fully laminated line itself, which is a different angle on the same process.

Full lamination

In full lamination, the layers are bonded across the whole surface with an optically clear adhesive, so no air gap remains. The general consequences are fewer reflections, better contrast and a stronger stack. The trade-off is a more involved process, which is why buyers usually reserve it for screens that must stay readable in bright light or survive mechanical stress.

Frame lamination

In frame lamination, the layers are bonded only at the edges, leaving an air gap in the middle. The process is simpler and the stack is easier to rework, but reflections are higher and the unit is mechanically less rigid than a fully laminated one. It is the usual choice where cost and simplicity matter more than maximum readability.

How to choose

Please confirm the lighting conditions the screen will face, whether mechanical robustness is a requirement, and the cover glass shape and treatment. If the screen will be read in bright light or handled roughly, please say so, because that points toward full lamination; if simplicity and cost matter more, please say so, because that points toward frame lamination. Please also confirm the minimum order quantity and the delivery schedule before payment.
